This soft puzzle mat is a toy and a play area in one. The mat is made up of nine large squares that connect like a puzzle. Each square has an animal-shaped piece that can be taken out and put back, so children can assemble and take the mat apart again and again.

While putting the mat together, children learn shapes, colours and animal names. Taking the pieces out and fitting them back in the right place develops fine motor skills, logical thinking and attention. Once assembled, the mat is a cosy, warm spot for playing, reading or building with blocks.

The mat is made of soft EVA foam that protects the child from a cold, hard floor and also dampens noise. The surface is non-slip and waterproof, so the mat is easy to keep clean: just wipe it with a damp cloth.

The calm brown, beige and black shades suit any nursery and blend in nicely with the interior. The mat can be quickly taken apart and put together, so it is also easy to take along on trips or to grandma’s.
