Clothing

Children's clothing built to withstand everyday play and frequent washing. A child's clothes get dirty and are washed much more often than an adult's, so fabric matters more than looks: cotton breathes, doesn't scratch, and holds up to higher wash temperatures. Choose a size up, since a child outgrows clothes faster than they wear out. Make sure the neckline is wide enough or has snaps, since many young children dislike having something pulled over their head. Also check for scratchy tags or long ties that could get caught on something during play.
