Role-Play Toys
Role-play toys for children — play food, tools, doctor kits, and other items that let a child play at being an adult. Role play is a child's way of making sense of the world: puttering in the kitchen or treating a doll, they practice through situations they've seen in real life. It builds imagination, vocabulary, and social skills more than most other toys. Role play starts around age two with simple imitation and turns into an actual story with characters and a plot from around age three. Join in sometimes, but let the child set the rules.
