Teethers & Toothbrushes
Teethers and baby toothbrushes. The first teeth usually come in between the fourth and seventh month, signaled by heavy drooling, gnawing, and restless sleep. A silicone teether gives the child something safe to chew on and relieves gum itching. Cold relieves the pain best — put the teether in the fridge for half an hour, not the freezer, since an icy object is too hard on the gums. Brushing should start as soon as the first tooth appears. A silicone finger toothbrush works best at first, since you can feel how hard you're pressing.
